This position is ON-SITE in Cedar Falls, IA with limited hybrid option.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Perform general support and assistance to the Human Resources team. Serve as a liaison to all employees for Human Resources support.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete weekly payroll processes for union and office employees, including processing and correcting errors.

  • Serve as a primary contact for Corporate teams as needed for related payroll activities.

  • Provide system setup and training for the time tracking system.

  • Provide timely customer service in response to questions from employees.

  • Ensure data integrity and confidentiality with human resources records, including employee and organizational data, in electronic and paper formats.

  • Manage the union benefit plan administration including open enrollment and employee requests.

  • Manage the bid job process for hourly production union jobs.

  • Coordinate employee relations events.

  • Participate in the talent acquisition process as assigned, including onboarding responsibilities.

  • Serve as liaison between the organization and external vendors, including supply vendors and benefit plan providers. Create PO’s upon request and process timely requests for payment from vendors.

  • Maintain HR intranet site and digital HR boards.

  • Function as the lead on assigned Human Resources related project work.

  • Apply labor relations contract language to HR processes with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Assign and monitor completion of employee training.

  • Identify process improvements and lead change to increase efficiencies.

  • Create timely and accurate routine reports for internal and external customers.

  • Coordinate the annual vacation planning process for both unions.

  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certificate or Associates degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience, in human resources, business, communication or management required.

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, communication or management preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years related experience required.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access.

  • Proficient with, or the ability to learn, Dimensions payroll system and Workday HRIS system.

WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to move within office and manufacturing complex, write by hand and keyboard, and perform general office functions.

  • Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.

  • General manufacturing, warehouse and office environment.
